Enhanced ColdFusion Performance
Not to ‘toot our own horn,’ but CrystalTech has long been regarded as the one of
the best shared ColdFusion® hosts in the industry. With that out of the way, we’re
not a company that rest on its laurels and we’re always looking for ways to improve
our services.
To enrich on our already highly reliable CFMX hosting, we just formed a new partnership
with Intergral, a ColdFusion application specialist responsible for the creation
of FusionReactor™. This advanced application will allow us to increase the overall
stability and performance of our servers for an even more robust ColdFusion web
hosting environment.
FusionReactor provides our system administrators tools that will help increase application
availability and reduce response times. FusionReactor not only offers our system
administrators detailed performance management and analysis, it also allows us recognize
and act upon issues before they impact critical processes of our ColdFusion MX servers.
As a part of this partnership, we will also be offering special discounts on Intergral’s
software lineup for our customers. Stay tuned for details.
Proud Sponsors of DotNetNuke
In our last newsletter, we let you know about the updated versions of DotNetNuke
(DNN) available on our ASP.NET 1.1 and ASP.NET 2.0 servers (versions 3.3.4 and 4.3.4,
respectively).
We are proud to announce that we are now an official sponsor of the DotNetNuke Open
Source Project. One of our early company motto’s was “For Designers, By Designers”
and we remain committed to the open source community and the many designers out
there who have supported us for years.
With financial support for projects like DNN, the offering of the latest technologies
faster and more affordably than other hosts and tools like our Public Forums, we
pledge to not forget our roots and remain a developer-friendly hosting company.
And don’t forget about our free DotNetNuke install tool available for ASP.NET Intermediate
customers and above! Available in the Resources folder of the Control Center, you
can find full details on how to install DNN in Knowledge Base Article #968.
Coming Soon: New Website and Revised Notifications
In the very near future, we will be launching a new version of the CrystalTech website.
Our last major redesign was in March 2006, and we felt it was time for a change!
While maintaining the same level of helpful content and informative plan descriptions
you find on our current site, we’ve streamlined the menu structure and presentation
in the new version so you will be able to find what you are looking for much faster.
A great deal of time and research went into the new CrystalTech website, and we
do hope you’ll be pleased with the results. Along with the new website, we will
also be launching a simplified ordering form. The days of the long seven step ordering
process will soon be a thing of the past! Plans are also in works for a new public
forum as well. See, you ask and we DO listen!
Besides the changes to the website, we will soon be sending improved customer notifications.
Our emails are in the process of being revised to provide a cleaner, modernized
look. Similar to what we’ve done with this newsletter, we are enhancing our notices
with HTML and streamlined the content so you get the information you need quickly
and conveniently.
Along with a streamlined look for our invoices and receipts, we’ll be including
some new useful information on them. Based on suggestions provided to our Billing
team, they will now include invoice numbers for improved accounting. We sincerely
appreciate the suggestions our customers provide us as it helps us further enrich
our services. Keep sending them!
