CrystalTech, through a partnership with MelbourneIT, offers discount domain name registrations for the affordable low price of $8.50 per year (initial domain registration of 2 years required) with website hosting. After that, as long as the website remains hosted here, renewals of your domain are only $8.50 each year thereafter.

All domain name registrations are done in your name, and we even send you the domain's registration key, giving you full control of the domain from both within our Control Center as well as at MelbourneIT’s online interface to use their domain name management features.

Once you chose to utilize CrystalTech's domain name registration services, we not only automatically do a look up on the domain to make sure that it is available, we'll immediately start the registration process (with payment). Once registered, new domain names generally take 24-48 hours to propagate throughout the Internet.

Private Domain Name Registration*
When you register a domain name, your personal information is available to anyone via a WHOIS search. For an additional $11.90 ($5.95 per year), you can elect a private domain name registration so that information is kept private and not listed in the public WHOIS database. No longer will spammers, telemarketers, data miners, identity thieves and others have access to your name, email address, postal address and phone number, securing your privacy.

With a private registration, your domain will have alternate contact information displayed in the results of a WHOIS search. So instead of your information, a default email address, postal address and phone number will appear as the contact information.

You still retain full benefits of ownership of the domain name and can cancel, sell, renew or transfer your domain as before. And you're in no way restricted from transferring your domain name registration to another registrant or registrar when you utilize private registration.

Please note: Private registration is not available for the .us extension.
