CrystalTech Infrastructure
CrystalTech utilizes a state-of-the-art datacenter that offers the utmost in service,
speed and network availability. With the latest technologies and equipment, advanced
levels of security and a 24x7 team of on-site dedicated professionals, CrystalTech’s
infrastructure provides unsurpassed levels of performance to satisfy your website,
data and email needs.
Network
Servers within CrystalTech’s highly redundant, multi-homed network utilize Multiple
Tier 1 connectivity providers like Cox and Quest for a superior level of thru-put
and uptime. Along with GigE (Gigabit Ethernet) Internet connections and a multi-gigabit
fiber optic backbone, each server segment is supported by a separate internal maintenance
network to eliminate data saturation.
Power
Multiple and redundant 2 Mw Caterpillar diesel generators supply robust power while
on-site fuel reserves provide multiple days of uninterrupted availability. Internally,
top-quality, redundant UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) systems offer continuous
operation in the unlikely event of a power outage.
Security
Unauthorized datacenter entry is prevented with the use of state-of-the-art security
measures, including biometric retinal scanning, electronic access control and a
man-trap entry point. A third-party professional security team monitors the entire
complex round-the-clock with high-tech electronic, motion and video surveillance.
Other advanced technologies, such as pre-action fire suppression and VESDA, are
also used to protect the facility.
Location
With a datacenter location in Scottsdale, Arizona, hosting with CrystalTech offers
the luxury of a highly stable climate with virtually zero risk of natural disasters
(earthquakes, hurricanes, tornados, blizzards, etc.). Scottsdale also ranks low
among large cities as a target of terrorist or malicious activity.
SAS 70
CrystalTech is SAS (Statement on Auditing Standards) 70 Type I certified, an international standard used to measure the reliability of a service organization's internal controls and practices. The SAS 70 audit included comprehensive reviews and tests of CrystalTech's infrastructure, including datacenter operations, server monitoring and security measures, by an independent accounting firm. By meeting this standard, CrystalTech demonstrated that it has the proper procedures and safeguards in place to protect websites and critical data hosted within its network.
